Hi everybody.  Just wanted to let you all know that I had my sujrgery Tuesday, and I came home today...  I am moving like a big old snail. Thought I was going to have open procedure because my liver was so large.   Dr. Portenier said I have the biggest liver he had ever seen.  Takr Care    Connie

Hi Connie,

Ben and I have been watching for you. I'm delighted to hear that you safely made it through and with a Lap instead of open procedure. Wishing you a smooth, gentle recovery. Be sure to keep sipping and walking.

See you soon,

Barbara

Connie,  Congratulations!  Sounds like everything went better than expected.  Take good care of yourself.  Take my word for it, everything gets better with a little bit of time.  Welcome to the loser's bench...let the losing begin!

Hey Connie,

I was at Duke today with Ben as he was taking care of his EKG, Chest Xray, labs, anesthesia appointment, etc... in prep for his surgery next week. Chris was there too and asked about you and Heidi. I told him I'd heard from you on the boards, but didn't know about how Heidi was doing... Do you? I hope that she came through with flying colors and maybe even got to come home the next day as she wanted.

Wishing you a gentle recovery,

Barbara

Hey Barbara,   Heidi came through the surgery just fine.  She came down to see me on Tuesday night.  The doctors told me I could  go home Wednesday if I was ready.  I said no way.  Heidi came Wednesday night and she laughed and said  they wanted to send her home.  I said you got you wish.   She said there is no way I'm leaving this place.  She said I have been nauseous all day.  She then got the dry heaves.  We could hear her all the way up the hall.  I went to check on her Thursday while I was waiting for my husband and when I got to her room she was gone. Tell Chris thanks for asking about me.  Tell Ben and Chris I said good luck.  Keep me posted on the boys.    Take care   Connie
